User Acceptance of Autonomous Public Transport Systems (APTS): Extended UTAUT2 Model

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting acceptance and use APTS by its potential users. To achieve this, an integrated expanded user model introduced explain Behavioral Intention APTS. A total 316 surveys were conducted, from 275 participants online 41 face interviews. With data that are acquired Public Transportation (PT) users in Istanbul, Unified Theory Acceptance Use Technology 2 (UTAUT2) Model modified Performance Expectancy, Effort Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, Habit, Trust Safety, Perceived Usefulness, Risk constructs utilized model. Age, gender frequency PT usage included examine moderating effect on while tested with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). proposed explains 72 % variances which proves has stronger predictive power compared previous (TAM) UTAUT models.
